So Obviously I have a lot of catch-up to do. It is hard to believe that I have gone the past two weeks without posting anything! It was a busy couple of weeks.
This is Collin eating. He has developed some crazy habits when he eats. As he was learning to eat cereal he would stick his thumb in his mouth after every bite. It looked as if he was trying to keep the food in his mouth. He would suck his thumb for a couple of minutes and then promptly remove his thumb, open his mouth wide for another bite, then repeat. It was a hilarious routine. It has continued to this day. He has cycled through all of the vegetables and has now started on his fruits. IN between most bites, he sucks his thumb while I get some more food on the spoon. It is really cute!
We bought Collin one of the jumper seats that hang int he doorways. He wasn't so sure about it at first, but has since developed quite a love for it. One day, we put him in it, and apparently he was too tired to stay awake. He managed to fall asleep sitting in the chair. I just had to capture the moment before I moved him to the crib!
Here's to a beautiful Turkey. Justin did a magnificent job on the turkey this year. It was beautiful and tasted great! We have been fortunate while living in Lubbock to be able to spend time with Paul and Karry (Justin's oldest brother and family) This year we were fortunate enough to have them join us for Thanksgiving. I didn't get nearly the pictures I wanted too. I think i was distracted by all the good food! Anyway, Paul, Karry and their kids, and Our good friends Jessica and Ryan all joined us for dinner. We had a three tables, 11 chairs, a high chair, a 20 Pound turkey, broccoli and Hollandaise sauce, green beans, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, stuffing, Butterhorn rolls, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin pie and apple pie. I think that is everything. It was a huge meal and we had a ton of leftovers. We didn't even get to the pies that night. Anyway, we had a wonderful thanksgiving.
Aside from that, with the weekend visit from Paul and Karry, we went to see Bolt. Cutest Disney movie in a long time. I loved it! We also took them over to the Science Spectrum museum and saw the omnimax movie. It was a fun weekend and Abby got to get her cast off Monday. (thanks to Paul and Karry for coming and spending the holiday weekend with us!)
