When is it okay to say No?

My mom was always the kind of person that would say yes to anyone that needed help. No matter how busy mom was, she always said yes to help people out. I think I got a little too much of that in my life. I have realized that there are times when I am all to willing to help people. Which yes is a good thing, but I have gone and committed myself to too much. ARGH! It is kind of frustrating and I am learning that I need to remember this when people ask me to do stuff. The small stuff isn't a big deal, it is the everyday, all day, repetitive stuff that causes the problems.

So, my new resolution is to be okay with saying no sometimes. And being okay, with not offering to help every time someone says that they need some help. I don't have to do it all. To start with, I think that I need to cut back on some of the things that I have already said yes too...I guess we will see what happens...Wish me luck!

By the way, Sorry for the bazillion posts lately, I guess I have lots to say! :) Or maybe I just don't have enough adult interaction in life and am talking to myself too much! I don't know anymore!

Walmart, Watch Bands and Oops!

So I went to Wal-Mart this morning. Justin needs a new watch band for his watch before his test tomorrow. It is one of those practical tests where he has to do a complete physical exam and take pulse by hand (since the machines aren't ALWAYS in the rooms to do it for you!) Anyway, his watch band has been broken for months and I finally got around to going to get him a new one. So I get the watch band then I go shopping for some other stuff. When I finish I take my under 20 items to the self check out lane and checked out. I paid for everything and then went out and put everything in the car. As I was getting Felicity into the car, I looked into the cart and saw Justin's watch band still sitting in the cart. I Totally forgot to pay for the watch band. The one thing that I actually needed to buy and I totally walked out of the store without paying for it. So I get Felicity back out of the car, get Brandon (the kid I babysit) out of the car and trek my way back into the store to pay for the watch band. I felt like an idiot when the guy at the door who gives stickers for returns came to me to give me a sticker for my return and I had to tell him I accidentally walked out without paying for it. I can't recall ever doing that before. But he was very nice and thanked me for my honesty. I told him that I don't think I could live with the guilt of not paying for it. But it sure was a pain to lug the 2 kids back inside...

So there is my oops for the week.

Loneliness

So...Loneliness SUCKS! Justin is out of town tonight. He left this morning and won't be back until tomorrow night. I know it isn't even that long. But I hate it when he is gone! I remember when I was younger, my mom used to tell me how she couldn't go to sleep when dad was out of town because she had to move her leg over and touch his leg just for a second in order to go to sleep...I never really understood that until I got married. It was almost like over night I couldn't sleep alone anymore. When I was single, I never had problems sleeping, and it was always alone (obviously). BUt from the day I got married I dread the moments when Justin and I are apart. I stay up late whenever he is out of town. I have nice soft flannel sheets to climb into tonight that I just bought today! YAY! But I don't want to rush into them because I will be in them alone! :(

I just thought I would say that! Loneliness is not cool! How do people do it!

Also, the Twilight play list that Stephenie Meyer posted on her website is awesome! I love the variety of music. I have a friend who made me CD's of each of the play lists. I add a couple of my own to the list, but It is really good and some great music! It has kept my mind a little more busy tonight!

Facelifts and Potty Training

I decided that my blog needed a face-lift...So I did it! I changed a bunch of stuff. Mostly because I was tired of the dark blue. It is Spring after all and we should all enjoy the bright colors of spring. I also added in some of my step-siblings blogs into the family section...Since we are officially family now... :) Anyway, Just thought I would share. Let me know what you think!

On other notes...I finally started the much dreaded potty training phase for Felicity. I might regret saying anything, so everyone knock on wood when you read this, but I am amazed how well this is going. Liccy has caught on so fast. She has had maybe 3 accidents in the past 3 days. The only time she has an accident during the day is in the evening when I forget to ask her if she needs to go potty. But otherwise, she tells me when she has to go and goes in and does it. I am amazed to say the least! Jaicie took 2 years to potty train, and Liccy is seeming to have caught it in 2 days! I know I shouldn't compare, but it is such a difference. I guess I just started to early with Jaicie! Anyway, Hopefully things continue to go well. She sure is doing great though...and her little bum looks so cute with panties under her pants instead of big padded diapers! :)

Have a great day! And a Happy Weekend!

Weekend Recap! Part 2

To continue with our week...

Thursday morning the girls woke up early again. We hung out with Mauni for a little while and then Justin's parents came and took us to lunch. Then we went back to Scott and Mauni's house for naps...which we all took! At 2:30, we woke the girls up and headed up to Ogden for Dad and Kay's Open house. We were arrived at Kay's house at about 4:00 and had a nice visit with them for a little while. Her kids began arriving around 5:15 and we started putting out the cookies and treats and drinks for the reception. Guests started arriving at about 6 and the house was packed until 7:15. There were 20+ children running around the house (all of Dad and Kay's grandkids) and they all had a blast playing together! I had a wonderful time meeting with and visiting all of Kay's family. (thanks guys so much for being so welcoming! and I still want Stacie's recipe for that Lemon water :) ) We were able to see G+G Thornock and quite a few of our cousins and aunts and uncles. It was so good to see everyone after so long.

At about 8:30 Justin and I headed back to SLC to beat the highway entrance that was closing that night. When we arrived back at Scott and Mauni's they were int he midst of an awesome Rock Band party! They have a THursday night party every week and watch Lost and then play Rock Band. We put the girls down (who went to sleep remarkably well with the loud noise) and joined in on the party. I broke out of my comfort zone and jammed a bit on the drums (I suck) the guitar (not nearly as bad) and singing (okay, I think I did alright at that one) It was such a blast. After everyone left for the night at 1, we hung out for a while longer with Scott and Mauni and finally went to bed at 2am...Yes another late night!

Friday morning we got up and got cleaned up, showered, bathed, and dressed. We did hair, actually Mauni did my hair. Justin and I got dressed for the wedding and we packed the girls dresses in the car and headed up at about 11:30 to Ogden. We visited with G+G Thornock for a while, and then at 2:30 headed over to The Lodge at Maddox

Before the wedding started we snapped some pictures and got to know each other a little better. Ryan, Kay's Son, stood up and gave a beautiful speech. It was about how everyone there had suffered a huge loss. He then talked about how grateful he was that Dad and Kay found each other. They have found so much happiness and joy with each other. The wedding ceremony itself was very short and sweet. Dad and Kay both said their I Do's and exchanged rings and kissed and they were married...

My brother 'nigel' stood up afterwards and shared a few sweet words and shared thoughts we all felt. This was followed by dinner. The kids had chicken strips and the adults had a choice of Roast, Turkey Steak and something else I can't remember. I had the Roast and it was good. Following dinner, we visited and looked at pictures. We saw a picture that Dad and Kay had of themselves together when they were somewhere around 18 I am guessing...(but I am not sure) Apparently they used to sing together too...Man, whoda thunk!

Afterwards we stopped at G+G THornock's house for a few minutes, and then at about 8 we headed down to SLC. We got there about 9:00 and again we hung out and played Rock Band for a couple of hours while the girls slept! Justin and Scott ran off to Nielsen's for some frozen Custard for us. Nate and Kristen came up to hang out and we played games. Justin and Scott arrived back covered in Custard...Apparently the cups were overflowing and it spilled all over Justin and Scott's Car (SORRY SCOTT!)

We played some mroe killer bunnies and a game called Guillotine and some rock band. When 2 rolled around, we finally decided we all needed to go to bed.

Saturday, we got up early, and found the Easter Bunny had arrived. Jaicie and Liccy ran around finding eggs and then came in and found buckets of candy (just little ones) It made their day. While Justin and I got ready to go up to OGden again, Jaicie and Liccy watched Enchanted, which we need to watch again, it looked really cute! Anyway, we headed out at 10 to go up to Ogden to have a mini family reunion.

We ate lunch as a family at the Pizza Factory and then went to the Children's museum next door. It was so much fun and the kids loved it. It was so nice to have some timme with my siblings and their families and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was sad when that time came to an end.

At 6 we went over to Tami's for a potluck dinner and got to see Mom's family again. It was good to see them and be able to spend time with them. It has been over 2 years since we had seen them last and that was at a funeral, so it was nice to see them for a happier occassion. There was lots of food and lots of fun.

Time did however roll around for us to head out. We drove back down to SLC for the last time this trip and put the girls to bed, started our laundry and visited with Scott and Mauni. Nate and Kristen came up and we played some more Killer Bunnies (I seriously love that game, I have got to get my hands on it) We also played a game called Loser, also tons of fun! I should get that one too! When 3am rolled around, we went to bed. We woke up at about 8:30 and packed our stuff and at 11:30, we headed to the airport. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone this weekend, but I am so glad that we had the opportunity to see everyone. OUr flight back from SLC was relatively painless (all things considered). We had a 4 hour lay over in Las Vegas, which would have been better if we had gone out and didn't have to deal with security to get back in, but LIccy slept and Jaicie watched movies. The flight arrived only and hour late and we landed in Lubbock at 11:30.

Jaicie was supposed to go back to school this morning, and would have, but I couldn't bear to wake her up after such a late night. By the time she woke up at 9, she still had to eat breakfast and have a bath and by the time she would have gotten to school at nap time, just in time to go to sleep, wake up and be picked back up. So we let her have the day off today. Which ended up being a good thing...I went to pick a friend up at the airport, and found our van battery was COMPLETELY DEAD! The car would not start...So I took Justin's car picked her up, took her home and then came back and Justin looked at the van to figure out what was wrong. The jumper cables wouldn't work and so Justin went out and bought a new battery and got the car working again...

An adventurous week, but full of so many great times. It was wonderful. I am so glad I got to see everyone this weekend and spend some good time with them. I only wish is didn't have to be so short. Maybe we will end up in SLC for residency, who knows...

We shall see, 2 years from now we will know where we are going. TO everyone we saw this week thanks, to everyone we missed, I am so sad we missed you and to everyone we just met, it was wonderful to meet you and can't wait for all the PIerce-Bruce Family Reunions! :) Have a great week!

Weekend Recap! Part 1

Wow...We had an adventurous trip this past week. I thought, now that I have posted all of the pictures, I would go ahead and recap our adventure.

Well, the week started with Jaicie out of school for Spring Break last Monday. It was a busy day full of cleaning and packing. I wanted to get as much as humanly possible done Monday, so Tuesday would be less hectic. I did laundry and got the house cleaning started. Jaicie and Felicity had an uneventful day, which was great!

Tuesday started with Justin off to take his CBSE exam. It is a mini Board exam that will help him determine where he is standing on his Step 1 Prep. That started at 1, but he left early to finish up studying. While he was gone, I ran errands to get ready to go. I had to drop keys and a garage door opener to our friend Tiffany who would be picking us up from the airport and hit the bank and various other things, I can't recall right now...I brought the girls back home and we had a nice Wendy's lunch and then they had naps. The real adventure started after naps and the rest of the night...literally! Justin arrived home at about 4:45. We left at about 5:15 to head to the airport for our 7:00 flight. We stopped at Sonic for dinner. Thanks to Jessica for giving us a ride to the airport...It helped a ton! So we got to the airport about 5:45ish. When we dropped the luggage off, we were informed that our flight was delayed. As a result, our 1 1/2 to connect to our next flight in Phoenix, was cut down to just 20 minutes. We had to change planes and drag children, but we could do it. So we hung out at the airport waiting for our flight. At about 7:00, we were informed that our 20 minute transfer time now is non existent. They came over the loud speaker to tell us that the flight would be leaving at about 8:30. We would miss our connecting flight...They would be holding all connecting flights out of phoenix...except the one to Salt Lake City! ARGH! So, we worked with the ticket agent to find out that we would be put on the 6am flight the next morning out of phoenix. Because it was a weather problem, they couldn't put us up in a hotel, but they could get us a discounted rate...THey told us that we would have to pull our luggage off the flight and recheck it closer to the time we take off that next morning. So as the boarding agent is getting everyone ready to board, we are still trying to figure out our flight information. We finally got situated on the place and resigned to spending the night in the Phoenix airport. The 4 hours we would have to sleep wasn't worth the $50 we would have to pay for the hotel room. We landed in Phoenix 15 minutes after our original flight had been scheduled to leave. As I turned my phone back on, we were by our friends in SLC that our original flight had not left yet. So after tracking down a ticket agent, we checked with them and they sent us running to the other terminal to board our original flight. We got there and found out that the pilot had been late, so the flight was delayed...lucky us. There were about 4 seats left (the four we had given up in Lubbock) and our 6am boarding passes were swapped back to that flight and we boarded. Unfortunately, our luggage went on to the baggage claim area in Phoenix! We arrived in SLC at 12:30am and Justin ran to the car rental agency that was supposed to close at 1 and I ran to the Southwest Baggage Claim office to work out our luggage issues. They gave us loaner car seats and said they would call us in the morning to let us know when our bags had arrived. Justin got the rental car at 12:55 and got the very last car in the airport...The guy right in front of him did not have a reservation and therefore did not get a car...THank goodness for rental reservations! We headed over to Scott and Mauni's house for the night. We arrived there, put the girls to bed and sat and talked until 3am...I guess that is what we get for taking 2 years to go back and visit!

Wednesday morning, the girls woke us up bright and early at 8am. We called the airport when they hadn't called us at 9. they told us they had all the bags, so we finished up breakfast and headed over to pick up our bags! We got there and found they only had 6 of the 7 bags and the one they didn't have was our toiletries bag that had Jaicie's nebulizer in it and everything else we needed to clean up! After some researching, they found that it had made it on to the next flight and would be arriving in about 45 minutes. Rather than sit and wait, we decided to make use of the time and drive up to Ogden and say hi to Dad and Kay and pick up the dresses for the girls for the wedding. So we drove up there, visited for about an hour and a half and then drove back to the airport...by 2 that day, we finally had all our stuff and were able to go back to Scott and Mauni's and shower and get dressed and get feeling a little more alive. We spent that evening with a bunch of our friends and family in Utah...We went to Rodizio Grill and had a wonderful dinner and a wonderful visit with our friends and Justin's parents, brother and family and uncle. After the 45 minutes it took to get out of there after dinner, the girls and I arrived at Scott and Mauni's house a little earlier then Justin, Nate and Kristen...and earlier then Scott and Mauni had planned! OOPS!

So Mauni and Justin had conspired together and worked out a plan for surprise baby shower for me. I was so surprised and overwhelmed at how sweet it was! It was a small shower, Scott and Mauni and Nate and Kristen and Justin and I were there. Unfortunately, others were unable to make it (we missed you guys!) But it was absolutely wonderful and so much fun. I can't thank Mauni and Scott enough for it..I hope that they know how much I appreciated it! We played my new favorite game...Killer Bunnies which you have got to play. It is so much fun and such a blast! So we played that and at about 1:00am Nate and Kristen headed out. The rest of us played some Guitar Hero on the Wii and had a blast! Scott and Mauni have Little Collin a couple of really cute outfits and Nate and Kristen pulled some amazing strings and got me a SIGNED Copy of Twilight! AWWW! I was so excited! We finally turned in at about 3am...again...

Well, given the current length of this blog, I just decided to do 2 parts...so there is the first of our adventurous week..Part 2 will come shortly!

Scott and Mauni's House

When we went to Utah we stayed with our good friends Scott and Mauni in Salt Lake City. It was great and we had so much fun. We have a couple of new things on our upcoming purchase list thanks to them... :)

The Easter bunny made a surprise visit on Saturday for the girls and they were able to hunt easter eggs. Other than this is the pictures from the weekend...

Dad's Wedding

Here are some pictures from dad's wedding. It was held at The Lodge at Maddox in Perry Utah (north of Ogden). It was a beautiful ceremony and I think everyone was happy with how it turned out. I will post more later, for now, here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Our Mini Family Reunion!

Well taking advantage of our weekend together we all got together for a mini family reunion. Dad got married this week (more to come later). So we were all in Utah at the same time, and for all of us to be in the same town at the same time is a rarity, so we hung out on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.

We had lunch at the Pizza Factory in Ogden and then we went over to the Tree House, a children's museum right in the same area. It was so much fun and so great to be able to spend some time with my siblings and their families. I get to see them all so rarely and it was nice to have the day to spend with them. I will post some more later, but for now, here are some pictures!

Bittersweet Memories

I remember the moment 2 years ago today like it was yesterday. But I am sure glad that I am not having to go through the same things I did 2 years ago at this time.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my mom's passing. It has been a difficult 2 years to say the least. Within the past two years, aside from loosing my mom, I have moved 3 times, lived in 3 states, worked 2 separate jobs, am 6 months pregnant with a new baby, watched Justin go through nearly 2 years of Medical School, started my oldest in preschool, taught my youngest to walk, talk, her letters, etc; watched my oldest learn to read, taken a trip to Loveland, taken a trip to Vegas, made 2 trips to Austin, Texas, 2 trips to Alpine Texas, bought a new car, and surely there is more that could be added to that list, but I am going to stop there. There has been so much change over the past 2 years and by far the hardest and most difficult change has been the adjustment of not having my mom. As Michelle said earlier today, I still wake up and want to call my mom and talk to her. I have been working on writing this book...not something I have told too many people, but in the last part of the book, I talk about my daughters and one of my favorite things that they do...And I wanted to share one small portion of that...(note it is not done, a very rough draft, and nothing will likely come of it, so no jokes about it, it is therapeutic)

"
Unfortunately, unlike my daughters, my phones don't have a direct line to Heaven. Felicity continually brings her play phone to me and tells me "mommy grandma wants to talk to you." The only connection between my children and my mother is a pretend phone line that dials Heaven. Jaicie and Felicity call their grandma frequently. They hold on full conversations with her. I only wish I can hear both sides of the conversation. Their imaginations have been able to carry them to a place that I only wish that I could go. A place where telephones reach the heavens."

My phones don't reach Heaven but I have found great comfort from Heaven. It has been a difficult journey, one that is by no means complete, one that I will likely continue trekking through the remainder of my life, but I have learned a great deal. I constantly think about bringing this baby boy into this world. It was something that I struggled with at the beginning of the pregnancy, knowing that when this little guy is born, I won't be able to call my mom and tell her all about it. She won't come visit and count each of his little toes and fingers as she always did. But I constantly think about her holding him before he is born and sending him my way...

Things will continue to change in the future. I look forward to those changes. I Miss my mom. I miss her everyday, and that will not change. I treasure the memories I have of my mom and I will always treasure them. The memory of that moment 2 years ago stands out strong. But even stronger are the memories of the many things that i shared with my mother.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my thoughts. We did enjoy a nice dinner at Joe's Crab Shack tonight, Justin and My family tradition, to go to one of mom's favorite restaurants together each year. I enjoyed the chicken, but Justin and Felicity sure enjoyed the shrimp...(Jaicie takes after me with seafood tastes!)

Have a good night! Here's to Mom!

Addictions

I decided that I am addicted to the internet. Though, I am not exactly sure what on the internet...I am addicted to email, but I never get much...I am addicted to Twilight Stuff too..But I am starting to step back from that a little bit, but I really don't have much that I look at, but I always feel like I should be looking at something on the internet...It is bizarre!

Anyway, I am addicted to the internet, so maybe i will start to step away from the internet for a while. Nothing but email that I have to check for work stuff! So, if I don't get online much in the next little while...that may be why...we will see how that goes though!

Addictions are crazy...Twilight is what I really have to step back from...I read so much about that series. LOVE IT! And if you haven't read it, you really should, before the movie comes out!

Anyway, I need to get to bed. So. here is to trying to break the addiction...Maybe i will focus on teaching liccy her letters for a while...and her numbers!

1 Nephi 1 : 1

I was reading my scriptures last night. Starting from the beginning yet again. As I read the first verse of 1 Nephi Chapter 1 I had a moment…

Yesterday was a particularly difficult day for me. Felicity decided it would be a great idea for her to get up at 6:00. She got up, woke Jaicie up and they refused to go back to bed. They were noisy and of course, kept me (and surely Justin too) awake. I went in a couple of times asking them to go back to bed, and told them that when the clock said 7:00 (seven zero zero) they would be okay to get out of bed. So they laid in their beds and talked until the clock said 7:00. It didn’t help with my sleeping much, but at least they stayed in bed with the light off!

So I got woken up 45 minutes earlier than I would have been getting up. Bad start off to the day. I went to the doctor (everything’s good) while Felicity was over visiting friends at Tiffany’s house. Then I spent a couple of hours working on various things at home. I made up a shopping list and a dinner menu and went to pick up Felicity at 11:45…We needed to go shopping at Wal-Mart and so we stopped on the way home.

Unfortunately, Felicity wouldn’t listen and screamed the majority of the time we spent in the Wal-Mart. Needless to say, I was irate by the time I got the screaming child home. I was in one of those “we don’t hit our children, We don’t hit our children” stages. The one where you constantly remind yourself why you are not an abusive parent. I was angry, I was upset and I left her in her room to scream herself to sleep. By the time she did so, it was 1:30. I had to get her up at 2:30 to pick up Jaicie from school and an hour nap is usually not enough for her…

The day went on and between fighting children and cleaning the house and folding laundry and cooking dinner I had a day that I don’t ever want to repeat!  By the end of the day I was feeling depressed because I felt like I was a horrible parent. My patience had run thin and I was so angry with myself and with everything that happened. As I opened the scriptures last night getting ready for bed I read: “I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents…”

So my question is, what makes a goodly parent? What can I do as a parent to continually improve my parenting? And will my children one day say that they were born of goodly parents?

I was born of goodly parents. I am happy that I can say that. My only hope is that one day, as my children look back in the future will they see me as a good mother—Despite the many days I seem to have like today?

I think is all for my ramblings for today. Just thought I would share!

Okay, so I started this on Friday, and I ended up finishing it on Saturday…But Thursday was my bad day!

I thought I had it bad!

So I saw this article on CNN today. I thought I had it bad when learning the solar system growing up...Mercury, Venus what...? I remember most distinctly the episode of Saved by the Bell when Screech shares his great tool for remembering the order of the planets... MVEMJSUNP...Now that was helpful. So, we had to know which planets had rings, the order...but now...Now they have to know 11 planets, the original planets plus dwarf planets. But here is the catch, Pluto is no longer a planet...so it is now 8 planets, and 3 dwarf planets, lets keep that straight while we try to also keep straight the new order...

Ah Man, I am going to have to memorize this order so I can help my kids learn it too! Anyway, here is the link to the article...I guess I have a new mnemonic to learn...or maybe I will go for Screeches style... MVEMCJSUNPE Man, how could we pronounce that?

Here is the new order in case you haven't heard it already...

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Eris.

Here is a cool image of the planets:

Oh, here is the link to the CNN article... http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/space/02/27/planets.mnemonic.ap/index.html

I think I am done with my rant...

Just kidding, I think that it is great that Science continues to learn things too. Sciences changes, just like the world around us! It is a little reassuring!

Weather and Illness

I just have to say that the weather here SUCKS! I don't think I have ever lived in a place where the weather changes so fast. Yesterday we had an absolutely beautiful day. It was sunny outside and 74 degrees. It was near heaven for us. Today we wake up to near zero windchill temps, snow on the ground and more snow falling, with a high temperature expected to hit a wapping 34 degrees. That is a freaking 40 degree difference. What the heck is wrong with this picture? The entire winter we have been having fluctuating temperatures just like this. It is getting old. We go from 60's to 30's and back up to 50's. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 66 and sunny again. Then we go up and down all week long. And I wonder why I can't stay healthy! Maybe I don't want to stay in Lubbock for Residency...I don't know anymore!

I think I am developing Strep throat. I was finally feeling back to normal after my last week long battle with a cold. My throat hurts SO BAD! the swelling in my throat ( I think) has even caused my ear to hurt. I can't even hold my phone up to my right ear right now! It is driving me insane! I can't stand all the illness this winter. I have been sick more this winter, and this pregnancy then I was in the past 3 years since I was pregnant with Felicity. And then I was only sick with Kidney infections...ONLY..HEHE...The illness thing is getting old and I don't know how much more I can take.

Here's to hopeing that Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona opens up an Orthopaedic residency before Justin applies! Scottsdale would be warmer...Ah the nice warmer sunny weather of southern Arizona! :) My luck we will probably end up in Rochester Minnesota...But we got 2 years before that will happen.

Anyway, I think I am done with my rant now...

On to other things. So next week is the 2 year anniversary of my mom's death. Justin and I decided on a tradition to honor her...We started it last year, and will continue it as long as we can. We have a yearly trip to Joe's Crab Shack. Mom took us there a couple of times and she loved it. I personally hate seafood, but at least they have some yummy chicken! We will be doing that next Wednesday the 12th. I think it is a nice tribute to mom!
