Random Thoughts

We have been moving this week. It has been crazy. Mostly because Justin has been really busy with work. HIs student have a test today, so he has been helping them with tutoring (for $20 and hour). So he has been gone everyday til about 10, which has meant that I have been doing most of the moving. We got our keys on Tuesday and like I have said like a million times, I absolutely love our new place. I am so excited for the time when we will be able be there for good. Maybe we will get lucky and be able to finish it all today...I can really hope anyway!

Tomorrow is my fundraiser...after spending since February planning this, I am getting to the point where I am extremely glad that it is going to be over. It has been w odnerful, and great and I am excited to see how much money we raise in the end, but I am ready to put it behind me for this year. Justin asked me the other day if I will do it again. My answer was yes, I think so. I have a better idea of what should be done and how far in advance...like planning for office supplies...if you want them donated, ask 6 weeks in advance, national stores like Walmart, Staples, and Office Max are not allowed to give donations locally. They require you to go through the corporate offices and they take care of it. It is crazy. But as it turns out, I think everything is gong to go really well. Bodyworks really has been helpful. Yesterday one of the managers where it is being held made all the arrangements, and they are providing a popcorn popper and we get to sell popcorn and keep the proceeds. It is so exciting! I can't wait til it is over though. I will be able to just relax for a while. YAY!

So Medical school was not as bad last year as I thought it would be. Justin was certainly very busy, but i was able to deal with it all pretty well..I hear that it gets worse for 2nd year and then slightly better for 3rd year. I guess we will see how all that goes...Will we ever get a vacation...thigns certainly are up in the air about that. Maybe we will make it back to Vegas before too long. It certainly won't be soon because I can't afford plane tickets and can't imagine flying with the girls by myself and now Felicity needs a ticket too. So for the girls and I to go to Vegas requires me to buy 3 tickets...when I don't have money for 1, it ain't gonna happen. Oh well, I guess we will see when that happens.

Anyway, I have to get some stuff packed up. Justin and I finally have paperwork to do the final walk through. So I need to take a load of stuff over to the new place at noon. YAY For moving, but I hope it gets done soon!

Google Reader

Okay, so I had not discovered this until a friend introduced me to it...Google Reader...It is amazing, you put in the blogs you want to keep up on, and it tells you when they are updated...(essentially anyway, you have to click on the button that says google reader, but it pulls everything in and shows it on your page) It is amazing. I just read through my friends blogs and love it, so if you don't already have it, i would highly recommend it! It is awesome. But you have to have a google account. Anyway, just wanted to give everyone something new to look for!

New house, Fundraiser, etc!

We just rented this great duplex in Northwest Lubbock that we absolutely love. It is 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 car garage, and a yard. It also has a huge kitchen and a very home feeling. We will get some pictures posted here, on our blog, in the next week or so...probably once we get stuff settled in. If you want our new address, please email me and I can get it to you!

Pre-K Already

So, tomorrow morning at 9:00 I get to go and sign Jaicie up for preschool. She will be going to the headstart class at the YWCA, which from what i have heard is a great class. She will be at school from 8 in the morning until like 2:45 in the afternoon. Yes, ALL DAY preschool. I am really scared about it, and don't know what it is going to be like to not have my little girl at home. She gets to take swim lessons at school too. It will be so good for her, but it scares me.

Felicity is going to struggle with her big sister being gone all day everyday. LIccy really loves her sister and screams every time they are apart. I think pre-k will necessitate a lot of special mommy-Liccy time. She hated the one day a week when Jaicie was at school last year, I am worried how she will act this year. I think work will help a bit, at least I hope it will. But I don't know.

Well, I guess we will see what more I know tomorrow....Wish me luck!
